Here's a thought BUSHwhackers: What if every President and Congress had gotten America off of OIL by 10% and onto alternative fuels since Pres. Carter. We wouldn't have had to fight 2 worthless wars in Iraq. Instead of importing 12.5 million barrels of OIL a day and giving our enemies over a billion dollars a day, we would have financial freedom.
Yes, if you love OIL; you love WAR. OIL is NOT the solution. War is NOT the solution.
Why hasn't Big Auto produced more Hybird cars? Electric cars? Cars that run on Alternative fuels? Why are they contining to produce the OIL loving gas gussling SUV's which are fuel inefficient. The Dems aren't to blame. It's everybody who loves OIL.
We are still pumping OIL from Alaska and the BUSHwhacker pushed thru Congress the bill to authorize drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and Chevron is pursing it. Yes, their seems to be a lot of OIL in the Balkans in Montana and what about the Canadian OIL sands will that combat Peak OIL. Probably not.
Yes, both parties have raised the taxes on gas.
Keep in mind that the price of a barrel of OIL has gone from around $25 to $125 since 2000 not due to taxes alone but to several factors - the war in Iraq, failed BUSHwhacker energy policies, gouching by big OIL and the OIL Barons, a fallen dollar and Peak OIL. Big OIL and the BUSHwhacker's OIL loving towel heads know that the world is approching Peak OIL and thus are rising the price of OIL to get as rich as possible before the OIL wells go dry. Big OIL has plenty of money to drill for OIL but instead they are buying back their own stock. Why?
Yes there are other places on earth that have OIL deposits but none as big as the Middle East. Yes, Alaska has OIL but do you want another Valdez incident?
Drilling for more OIL (Offensive Idiotic Leadership) = Stupidity to Infinity.

Let me explain why the price of OIL is going up and will continue to go up.
1. the weaken dollar is one of the main reasons the price is sky-rocketing. A direct result of the Failed BUSHwhacker's policies.
2. Demand is continually rising but it is not the main reason.
3. OPEC Countries and oter countries are stock pileling their reserves thus causing what appears to be a rise in demand - less supply to other countries thus raising prises.
4. Peak OIL. Production is at it's peak. This doesn't mean that there is no more OIL unfortunately but other OIL not from OPEC is expensive to drill. Yes, I know about the Bakkan and Canadian Oil Shales and other newly discovered OIL reserves but hopefully we won't ever have to use them if we can get off of OIL. Plus they would take 5 to 10 years before we would get any OIL from them. Hopefully, we can have enough alternative fuels to p0ower our vehicles by then.
5. Greed by OPEC and Big OIL. Oh by the way, Big OIL is buying back it's stock not investing in new OIL drilling.
6. Environmentalists (thank GOD!) are blocking onshore and offshore drilling which again would take years before we would get any OIL from them.
7. The increase of Alternative energies as fuel for vehicles such as Ethanol, Biodeisel, Hybirds and Electric Cars are making OPEC and Big OIL panic. This trend will continue until we get off of Offensive Idiotic Leadership.
8. The war in Iraq. This is a major reason for the price of OIL is going up everyday. They, OPEC, want us out of there.
